Emigration visas for skilled workers

Australia is a very popular destination for skilled workers which is why many choose to live their lives in the country of a kangaroo. Under the Skill Select program, skilled visa holders can qualify for a permanent Australian visa. They are required to meet the requirements of the Australian Migration Service, which implies certain qualifications, work experience and proficiency in English.

Basic requirements

Knowledge of English - A visa holder must have a satisfactory level of English proficiency in order to work in Australia. You need to get the required grade in one of the recognized English tests (IELTS test should be passed with a minimum score of 6).

Skill Select

Skill Select is an online platform to help Australian authorities manage their migration policy. It ensures that migration policy is guided by the needs of the Australian economy. As a result, the Australian Immigration Service is expected to significantly reduce the time it takes to process applications for this visa.
The Skill Select system implies that potential Skilled Visa holders first submit an Interest Statement (EOI). An EOI is an indicator that you want your case to be considered for an ex-pat visa. EOI is not a visa application. You will be asked to submit different types of information to the EOI, depending on the visa subclass for which you want to apply.
Test points

In order to qualify for an ex-pat visa, you must meet the requirements of the points test, ie you must earn the required points. Points are collected based on various factors such as age, education and work experience, occupation, English language skills, etc. Extra points can be earned if you have close relatives who live in Australia or have previously studied or worked in Australia. You can also get extra points if you are sponsored by a country that lacks skilled workers.

It is necessary that you can earn 65 points or more. Please note that a score of 65 points does not mean that you will be invited to apply for a visa.

Visa application
On the basis of the EOI, the holder may be invited to apply for an ex-pat visa. Applicants who are best ranked for a wide range of scarce occupations may be invited to apply for an ex-pat visa. If a potential applicant wishes to point out that he or she is interested in a nomination by the state or territorial government, he/she may emphasize this in his / her EOI. The prospective applicant may select all or specific countries and territories for which he/she is interested.
If you get a call to apply, you have 60 days (from the date of the call) to submit your visa application online via Skill Select. Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered invalid.
If the holder does not submit the visa application after two calls to apply, the EOI will be removed from the database.
